What 획 means
In Korean, 획 names a written stroke or dividing line.
It appears in 획수 (“stroke count”) and 획순 (“stroke order”): the first counts a written character’s strokes, and the second gives their writing sequence.
The Korean alphabet Hangeul was devised in 1443 and introduced in 1446 in a work titled 훈민정음 (“Correct Sounds for the Instruction of the People”). A Hangeul manuscript dated 1464 shows the script in use by then.
Neutral within a Korean word; opaque as a message on its own.
Alone, 획 can read like a fragment unless the writing topic is already clear.

Only when the conversation already makes the writing-stroke topic clear; otherwise, it gives little clue what you mean.
