What 횅 means
On a Korean two-set keyboard, enter ㅎ, ㅗ, ㅐ, then ㅇ.
The keyboard software combines these basic Hangul letters into 횅. Here, ㅗ and ㅐ join to form the vowel ㅙ.
What does 횅 mean?
As of 2026, it has no standard meaning on its own.
횅 is one Hangul syllable block. Its parts are ㅎ at the start, ㅙ as the vowel, and final ㅇ, which gives the ending “ng” sound as in “sing.”
Hangul’s syllable-block system was created in 15th-century Korea to represent Korean speech and broaden access to writing beyond people trained in Chinese characters. Modern Korean spelling builds on a unified proposal from 1933.
Is 횅 a typo?
Not necessarily.
It is a valid Korean character. Alone, it does not tell you whether the sender meant a word fragment, a keystroke, or something else; ask them or read the surrounding Korean text.
Neutral as a written syllable; unclear as a message by itself.
Sent alone, it may be mistaken for a stray keystroke.
