hangul syllable kac

Hangul Syllable Kac

8844/11172

캋 is a Hangul syllable block formed from ㅋ, ㅏ and ㅊ; no standalone slang meaning is established for it as of 2026. In Korean writing it belongs to a word or sentence, where surrounding text supplies its role. A Korean IME on the standard Dubeolsik layout makes it with Z-K-C.

What 캋 means

It is a syllable block assembled from three Korean letters. Hangul is the writing system used for Korean, and this block brings together ㅋ, ㅏ and ㅊ. Those letters show how it is built; on their own, they do not give it a word meaning.

Hangul was announced in 1443; Hunminjeongeum, a book explaining the new script, was published in 1446. The system was designed to write Korean speech with letters for initial consonants, vowels, and final consonants.

Before Hangul, Korean writing used Hanja (Chinese characters adapted for Korean) and Idu (a system that used Chinese characters to write Korean). The script went by jeongeum, eonmun and banjeol after its creation, gukmun and gukseo after the 1894 reform, then Hangeul from the early 1910s; that name was widespread by 1928. These are names for the writing system, not meanings of this syllable.

How do I type 캋?

Switch to Korean input and enter three letters in order. The standard two-set Dubeolsik keyboard maps ㅋ, ㅏ and ㅊ to Z, K and C; press Z-K-C in a Korean IME. The Latin letters mark key positions, not the pronunciation of “kac.”

Unicode can store 캋 as one precomposed syllable block or as its three underlying jamo. NFC keeps the composed block, while NFD represents it with three jamo; a Korean-capable app can still shape them into one block. If the letters split apart or a box appears, the app may lack Hangul font or shaping support.

A Korean spelling unit: technical and language-specific, with its role determined by surrounding text.

Questions people ask

2

Why does 캋 show as an empty box?

The app usually lacks a font with Hangul characters. A sequence shown as separate letters can also point to missing shaping support.

Does typing kac produce 캋?

No. “Kac” is the Unicode syllable label, not keyboard input. On Dubeolsik, enter the keys for ㅋ, ㅏ and ㅊ.
