hangul syllable keon

Korean syllable 컨

8937/11172

컨 is a Korean syllable written in Hangul, the Korean alphabet; by itself, it does not identify a specific word and usually appears inside a longer one. King Sejong's court devised Hangul in 1443; the 1446 guide 훈민정음 introduced it as an alternative to Idu, an older way of adapting Chinese characters (Hanja) to write Korean. Hangul later became Korea's main script.

What 컨 means

The surrounding Korean word supplies its meaning.

컨 appears inside words such as 컨디션 (“condition”) and 컨트롤 (“control”); read the full word to know which meaning is intended.

A Hangul syllable block groups ᄏ as its initial consonant, ᅥ as its vowel, and ᆫ as its final consonant.

Neutral inside a Korean word; alone, it reads like an incomplete word.

Why does 컨 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
