What 퀚 means
The block combines three Hangul letters in reading order.
The Hangul jamo in 퀚 are ᄏ ᅰ ᆩ: an initial consonant, a vowel, and a final consonant. Jamo are individual Hangul letters assembled into blocks.

Where did Hangul come from?
Hangul was created under King Sejong. The National Hangeul Museum records the script as Hunminjeongeum in 1443 and its explanatory book in 1446; these dates belong to the writing system, not this individual block.
That preface says Korean speech did not fit Chinese writing, leaving ordinary people little way to write. Hangul became the main script of modern Korean. South Korean usage calls it Hangul; North Korean usage, Chosŏn'gŭl. Korean writing also used Hanja (Chinese characters used in Korean) and Idu, a way to write Korean sounds and grammar with them. A 2009 study proposed Phags-pa influence on some vowel designs; this debated proposal concerns Hangul's alphabet, not 퀚.
How do you type 퀚?
Use a Korean 2-set keyboard and an input method.
On a standard Korean 2-set layout (Dubeolsik), press z, n, p, then Shiftr. These keys enter ㅋ, ㅜㅔ, and ㄲ; the input method combines them into 퀚. The Latin letters mark key positions, not an English spelling.
Unicode normalization, a standard way to treat equivalent text forms, has two forms: NFC combines the jamo into 퀚; NFD represents the same syllable as separate jamo.
Neutral; a syllable block whose word meaning comes from surrounding Korean text.

1Why does 퀚 look different or appear as a box?
Fonts may shift the jamo inside the block; an empty box means the app lacks a Hangul glyph. A Korean-supporting font can display it.
