What 뉻 means
By itself, 뉻 is a syllable, not a word. Hangul jamo (consonant and vowel pieces) ㄴ ㅠ ㄷ form it; final ㄷ sounds like a clipped t: name “nyud,” sound “nyut.”
Hangul’s milestones are 1443 and 1446: its creation, then publication of an explanatory guide. It gave Korean a sound-based script, unlike Chinese characters and earlier Korean methods that adapted them, such as Idu, Gugyeol and Hyangchal. It became the official national writing system in 1894.
A Korean pronunciation guide dated 2026-04-11 writes 뒷윷 as [뒫ː뉻 뒨ː뉻]; the arrow marks a change in how the word is spoken.
