What 품 means
Read the whole word. The native Korean noun 품 can mean chest, clothing fit, protective embrace, or labor. 품에 안기다 means being held in someone's arms; 품질 uses Hanja 品, a Chinese character used in Korean.
Hangul, the Korean writing system, groups Korean sounds in syllable blocks; its creation is recorded in 1443. A record of the native noun 품 dates to 1481, but that does not establish its first use. The block joins ㅍ ㅜ ㅁ.
Neutral on its own; the surrounding word decides the meaning.
Do not translate 품 alone as “quality” or “embrace.”

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
