What 싥 means
It is one written Korean syllable. Here ㅅ is the initial consonant, ㅣ the vowel, and ㄺ the final cluster ㄹㄱ. At word end, ㄺ ends in a clipped k; before a vowel, its consonants may split across syllables. Read it within its Korean word or phrase.
Why does Unicode call it “silg”?
“Silg” is a construction label, not a spoken reading. King Sejong, ruler of the Korean kingdom of Joseon, devised Hangul in 1443; the 1446 book Hunminjeongeum explained its design. Unicode also represents 싥 as three joined Hangul letters, called jamo: 싥. Their short names S I LG form “silg.”

1Why does 싥 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
