What 솋 means
One Hangul syllable block; its Korean word gives it meaning.
The Hangul letters in 솋 are three jamo (letters used to build syllable blocks): ᄉ is the opening consonant, ᅨ the vowel, and ᇂ the final consonant. “Syeh” names their combination; it is not a gloss.
The same syllable can be encoded as the joined sequence 솋. Across different fonts, its components may shift in shape, size, or placement; that changes the look, not the character.
Was Hangul influenced by the Phags-pa script?
A possible connection is debated, not settled.
Some accounts point to similar shapes in the Mongolian Phags-pa script, but resemblance alone cannot show that Hangul borrowed from it. Hangul's own design account explains the script through its principles.
