What ䷌ means
It means fellowship: people making common cause with others. The Mandarin name 同人 is romanized Tong Ren and often translated as “fellowship with people.”
The Yijing, also called the I Ching, is a Chinese divination book organized around 64 six-line figures. A trigram is a three-line figure: ☲ Fire sits below ☰ Heaven in ䷌.
How old is the text behind ䷌?
䷌ belongs to the Zhou Yi, the divination core of the Yijing.
A bamboo-strip manuscript copied in the southern Chinese state of Chu about 300 BCE preserves roughly one-third of the later received text, the version passed down in the book tradition. Though its spellings vary, it shows that the text was already stable by then.
A later group of commentaries, called the Ten Wings, added philosophical and cosmological readings alongside divination. This manuscript dates a surviving textual tradition, not the first appearance of this exact figure.
