What 𑂒 means
Select ca in a Kaithi input tool. A Kaithi keyboard or online input tool can enter 𑂒. Add a vowel sign to change its vowel, or a virama to suppress the inherent vowel.
What is 𑂒?
It is the Kaithi consonant letter called ca. Kaithi is an abugida, a writing system where each consonant normally carries an unwritten vowel; a vowel sign changes it, and a virama suppresses it. On its own, 𑂒 identifies a letter; it does not give enough context to infer a complete message.
By the 16th century, Kaithi was established in official records; a 1540 land grant under Sher Shah Suri documents that use. 17th-century manuscripts show literary use. The script served administration, trade, correspondence and personal records, as well as religious and literary works. It is historically related to Devanagari and Gujarati; one proposal traces Mahajani and Syloti Nagari to Kaithi. Devanagari later took over much of its official use.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𑂒 show as a box?
A square usually means the font used by your app lacks a Kaithi glyph. Try a Kaithi-capable font such as Noto Sans Kaithi; the character itself has not changed.
