What ⼡ means
It is a dictionary index for 夂, not a “go” sign.
A radical is the component used to file dictionary entries; 夂 is Kangxi radical 34. The Shuowen Jiezi, a dictionary compiled around 100 AD, glosses 夂 as “arriving from behind.”
Early Chinese writing on oracle bones shows related 夊 by 1250–1000 BCE; this does not date 夂’s present form. In 1716, the Kangxi Dictionary filed entries by radical and remaining strokes; 11 characters fell under radical 34. Mainland simplified indexes group 夂 and 夊; traditional indexes distinguish them.
