khitan small script character-18c4c

Khitan numeral 60

𘱌 is the Khitan small-script numeral for sixty. Created about 925 to record Khitan, an extinct Northeast Asian language, the script was reportedly inspired by Uyghur writing, though few visible features connect them. The script's earliest known datable text is from 1053; grave inscriptions, monuments, and objects preserve its use in the Liao and early Jin periods. During the Jin dynasty, the Jurchen writing system adapted forms from Khitan scripts.

What 𘱌 means

It stands for sixty as a complete number. In Khitan small script, 𘱌 is a standalone numeral sign. It records the value, not a spoken sound.

The Khitan number system gave each decade from 20 through 90 its own sign. Numbers 11 through 19 combined a “ten” sign with a unit sign.

Why does 𘱌 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
