What ᰻ means
Ta-rol closes a sentence in Lepcha writing.
Lepcha writing developed under Tibetan influence: early manuscripts were vertical, while later texts were written horizontally.
When older books are reproduced, traditional marks are retained; everyday Lepcha prose uses Western punctuation.
