What 𛇳 means

Why did women write Nüshu?
To write their local speech and share it among women.
Nüshu developed in Jiangyong, southern Hunan, drawing much of its form from Chinese characters while writing a local spoken variety. Its earliest known artifact is a bronze coin from the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, a rebel state in China (1851–1864); its inscription says women everywhere are one family. An early-1930s Hunan survey provides the earliest written report.
Traditional Nüshu use joined writing to women's shared life: women read and sang texts while sewing; Nüshu appeared in writing on fans and embroidery on cloth. A sanzhaoshu (“third-day message”) was a cloth-bound book of poems and songs given to a bride by close women friends three days after the wedding. Since 2006, China has recognized Nüshu as intangible cultural heritage, giving the script a public life alongside its community tradition.
