What ♴ means
The Society of the Plastics Industry, a trade group, introduced the seven numbered resin marks in 1988. Type 2 means high-density polyethylene, the rigid plastic in milk and detergent bottles. As of 2026, the standards group ASTM treats the mark as material identification, not a recycling guarantee.

1Why does ♴ show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
