What 🕖 means
A round analog clock set to exactly 7:00, used to say “at seven”. It belongs to a set of 24 clock-face emoji, one for every hour and every half-hour, and 🕖 is the one with the hour hand pointing to 7.
In messages it stands in for the words “at 7” or “7:00”. You will see it in group chats fixing a time to meet, in event posts and stories announcing when something starts, in reminders to yourself, and in streamers’ and shop owners’ posts about when they go live or open. Some people line several faces up to sketch a timetable: 🕖 breakfast, lunch, 🕖 dinner.
It is purely a number on a dial. It carries no mood of its own; the feeling comes from the rest of the message, whether that is “ugh, 🕖 alarm again” or “see you 🕖 ”.
Is 🕖 7 AM or 7 PM?
Either; the dial cannot tell morning from evening. A twelve-hour face shows the same picture at 07:00 and 19:00, so the sender relies on you knowing which one makes sense.
Usually that is obvious: a dinner or drinks invitation means evening, a gym or school message means morning. When it is not obvious, and especially before you set an alarm, book a ticket or turn up somewhere, ask. If you are the sender, add “am”/“pm”, “tonight”, “morning”, or write 19:00 next to the emoji; the clock then becomes decoration rather than the only information.
One more trap: on a small screen 🕖 is easy to confuse with (five o’clock, its mirror image) and (eight o’clock). If an exact time matters, write the digits too.
Neutral and practical: a time stamp, not a feeling. Fine for friends, family and casual work chats alike.
On its own it does not say AM or PM; confirm before acting on it.

5Worth knowing
- There are 24 clock-face emoji, one per hour and one per half-hour; the hour faces came from Japanese mobile phone emoji, and the half-hours were added in 2010 to complete the set.
- Each hour on an analog dial is 30 degrees, so 🕖 and its mirror are the two faces most often swapped by mistake on small screens.
Questions people ask
4What time is 🕖?
Seven o’clock exactly: 07:00 or 19:00. The hour hand is on the 7 and the minute hand on the 12.
Does 🕖 mean 7 PM?
It can. Most social plans sent with it are evening plans, but the dial itself does not say; look for “tonight”, “pm”, or a dinner emoji nearby.
Is there a 7:30 clock emoji?
Yes: shows seven-thirty, with the long hand pointing down to the 6. Every hour and half-hour has its own face.
Can 🕖 mean a direction, like “on your seven o’clock”?
Rarely. The clock-position way of giving directions exists in speech, but in writing it is almost always spelled out; the emoji nearly always means the time.
