What ☀️ means
Its hidden emoji marker was dropped. The sun entered Unicode as a plain text sign before emoji existed. An invisible code after it asks for the colorful version. Where that code is lost or ignored, as in some plain-text fields and older apps, you get a one-color outline. Before Unicode emoji, Japanese phone carriers used this sun as a clear-weather icon, usually drawn in red.
Warm and low-risk: friendly in texts and captions without reading as flirty.

2Worth knowing
- The characters behind ☀️ existed in Unicode 8 years before anyone was allowed to draw them in colour: Unicode 3.2 in 2002, emoji presentation in 2010.
- ☀️ is not one character. It is 2 of them glued together, which is why deleting it sometimes takes two presses of backspace and why it breaks character counters.
