What 𝡽 means
It marks one handshape within a larger SignWriting sign. Alone, it does not identify a particular sign or a word in a spoken language. Read it with the other symbols and their positions in the sign box, the area used to arrange one written sign.
Valerie Sutton began DanceWriting, a system for recording dance movement, in 1966. In 1974, sign-language researchers prompted its adaptation for writing signs. SignWriting records the visible form of signs and can be used for many signed languages.
What if someone sends 𝡽 alone?
It is a handshape fragment, not a complete sign. A full sign may combine handshape with orientation, movement, contact, location, facial expression, and placement in the sign box. Ask for the complete notation or its source before assigning it a meaning.
Why does 𝡽 appear as a blank box?
The font may not support SignWriting. Unicode stores the character, but a full sign also depends on the spatial arrangement of its symbols. A blank or boxed glyph points to a display problem; use a font or editor that supports Sutton SignWriting.
Technical SignWriting notation; a lone instance is best read as a handshape fragment.
Alone, it cannot tell you which sign someone meant.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𝡽 show as a box?
A font without SignWriting support can show it as a box. The character is encoded, but the font must include a drawing for Sutton SignWriting; a full sign also needs its spatial layout.
