What ㎷ means
㎷ means millivolt. It is the same unit as mV.
The square mV form let a short Latin-letter abbreviation fill one East Asian character cell. Unicode keeps it for compatibility with older Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and related text standards. Japanese names in katakana, a Japanese syllabic script, use the same one-cell layout.
Technical legacy typography; ordinary SI text uses mV.
The square changes the layout; lowercase m still means milli.
