What 𖪻 means

A small mark above Pha’s base form makes the separate Fa letter. The marked and unmarked forms are distinct Tangsa consonants, not interchangeable spellings.

Who created the Tangsa alphabet?

Lakhum Mossang began developing the alphabet in 1990. He designed it for Muishvung (also called Mossang), the Tangsa variety he spoke, as an independent script unrelated to existing writing systems.

Four consonants, including Fa, were added for sounds absent from Muishvung. The Tangsa Script Development Committee formed in 2019 to promote the alphabet more widely.

1

Why does 𖪻 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
