What 𖪺 means
It represents /x/, the voiceless velar fricative.
Air passes through a narrow gap at the back of the mouth without the vocal cords vibrating, like the final sound in Scottish “loch.” The letter’s name follows the Latin-based Muishvung spelling, where x marks /x/.
Who created the Tangsa script?
Lakhum Mossang created it in 1990 to write his Muishvung variety.
He first taught the alphabet by hand to a small group. Tangsa communities in India and Myanmar also use Latin-based spellings; a Tangsa committee began promoting Mossang’s alphabet more widely in 2019, and it was presented publicly at the Pangsau Pass Festival in January 2020.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𖪺 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
