What 𖪐 means
It marks “ng” at a syllable’s end. English sing ends with the back-of-the-tongue nasal written /ŋ/. 𖪣 marks it at the start. In the 2020 alphabet, final /m/ and /n/ use ordinary letters.
How did the Tangsa alphabet develop?
Lakhum Mossang began it in 1990. He designed it for Muishvung (Mossang), one Tangsa variety, with wider use in mind. The Tangsa Script Development Committee formed in 2019 and promoted the script publicly at the Pangsau Pass Festival in January 2020. Tangsa oral tradition recalls lost writing on deerskin; this alphabet is separate. Tangsa Khimhun is another indigenous script, a syllabary (one sign per syllable) associated with Rangfraa faith.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𖪐 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
