What 𘠇 means
No: it is a component, not a Tangut word.
In the Xixia (Tangut) script, components are parts scholars use to describe complete characters or locate them in dictionaries. The English label “Tangut Component-008” gives this entry a modern sequence number; it is not a Tangut reading.
How did Tangut components help scholars?
They help people find and explain complete Tangut characters.
Around 1036, the Tangut script was created by imperial decree for the Tangut language of the Western Xia state. In the 12th century, the Sea of Characters—a Tangut dictionary—analyzed characters through their component parts. Modern dictionaries use components to index and describe Tangut characters.
Technical and specialist; outside Tangut character study or text tooling, it reads as an unexplained fragment.
