What 𘣐 means
The mid-12th-century Sea of Characters, a Tangut dictionary, explains how parts of some characters relate to meaning or sound. It helps decode whole characters, but gives no fixed English definition for 𘣐 alone.
The Tangut script was devised about 1036 under Li Yuanhao, a Tangut ruler, to strengthen the state and its distinct identity and to support a collection of Buddhist writings in Tangut. It drew on Chinese writing models and the neighboring Khitan people's example of an official script. Unicode also uses Tangut components to index and describe characters in Ideographic Description Sequences (IDS). The Unicode Standard 17.0 treats chart shapes as examples, so fonts may draw 𘣐 differently without changing which character it is.
Technical and archival: alone, 𘣐 is a reference sample, not ordinary Tangut writing.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘣐 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
