What 𘤴 means
It names a structural piece, not a Tangut word.
Tangut component sets help scholars index, describe, and analyze complete characters. Different references may organize the script with different component inventories, so this label is a cataloging aid rather than a universal name or pronunciation.
Tangut, also called Xixia, is a historic script for the Tangut language. Its square characters resemble Chinese ideographs, but Tangut is a separate script. It was created around 1036 under Western Xia’s first emperor. After Western Xia fell to the Mongols, the script continued in use during the Yuan and Ming dynasties, becoming obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
A cataloging element for studying the Tangut script.
309 is a label, not a Tangut reading.
