What 𘥱 means
It has a structural role, not a fixed translation.
Scholars use 𘥱 to index and analyze Tangut characters. In an Ideographic Description Sequence (IDS), a notation that lays out a character’s parts, it can be one structural operand. Its role depends on the larger character or description.
Around 1036, Tangut writing was created for the Western Xia state and its Buddhist canon, a collection of Buddhist texts. It remained in use during the Yuan and Ming periods. In scholarship, component signs help organize and describe surviving Tangut writing.
Is 𘥱 a Chinese character?
No; it belongs to the distinct Tangut script.
Tangut writing was inspired by Chinese writing; the neighboring Khitan people had also created scripts of their own. Those historical connections do not make 𘥱 a Chinese character or give it a Chinese reading: it is a Tangut structural component.
In Tangut text or a character description, this is technical notation; alone, it reads as a specimen of a component.
Don't give it a Chinese reading; it is a Tangut structural component.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘥱 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut Components block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
