What 𘨜 means
It marks structure, not a word. Tangut characters are built from components. Scholars use components and stroke order to index, describe, and analyze whole characters in dictionaries and reference data. A component assignment identifies structure; it does not define 𘨜 as a word.
The Tangut script, also known as Xixia, wrote the Tangut language. Its characters may resemble Chinese ideographs, but the script is separate from Chinese writing. It was created under Western Xia’s first emperor about 1036 for official writing.
After Western Xia fell in 1227, Tangut writing continued during the Yuan and Ming dynasties, including in Yuan-era Buddhist printing. The surviving record includes translations of Chinese classics and Buddhist scriptures. Modern scholars still use components to look up and analyze Tangut characters.
Scholarly and technical; it fits discussions of Tangut character structure, dictionaries, and Unicode text data.
Don’t translate it alone: its structural component assignment is not a word definition.
