What 𘩿 means
It is a structural piece used to study larger Tangut characters.
In Xixia (Tangut) writing, scholars use Tangut components to index, describe, and analyze larger characters. A radical is the part a dictionary uses to group entries; dictionaries use different component systems. This glyph is a notation tool, not a word with its own translation.
Where did the Xixia script come from?
It was created under Western Xia's first emperor around 1036.
The script was made to write the Tangut language and appears in official, private, and religious texts. After Western Xia fell to the Mongols, it continued through the Yuan and Ming periods and became obsolete by the end of the Ming. It was rediscovered in the late 19th century. In the early 20th century, N. A. Nevskij's work helped scholars decipher it.
Alone, it reads like dictionary or script-study notation; it is a component label, not ordinary Tangut prose.
It labels a writing-system part, so it does not spell a Tangut word by itself.
