What 𘪀 means

It is one structural piece, not a standalone Tangut word. Components help describe full characters and help readers find them in dictionaries.

An Ideographic Description Sequence (IDS) is a short formula that records a character's component structure. This component can be one part of that description.

Tangut dictionaries used different component systems

The Tangut script was devised for the Tangut language under the first emperor of the Western Xia state about 1036. It was used in official, private, and religious writing, including books, Buddhist scriptures, inscriptions, and manuscripts; the latest known inscription dates to 1502.

The Sea of Characters, a mid-12th-century Tangut dictionary organized by rhyme, explains full characters through parts borrowed from other characters. A borrowed part can link by meaning or sound, and the same component can play different roles in different characters.

Tangut radical indexes bring together several scholarly traditions: dictionaries in the Western Xia period did not share one universal system for indexing components. Tangut writing was modeled on Chinese and Khitan, another historical East Asian script, but remained distinct.

How do I type Tangut Component-641?

Use a Unicode input method that accepts U18A80.

Typing it inserts one character; it does not assemble itself with nearby text. An IDS is a separate way to encode a larger character's structure.

A box or blank usually means the font lacks Tangut coverage; the text may still contain the correct character.

Technical and specialist; it belongs in Tangut script analysis, not ordinary conversation.

It has no fixed standalone translation; do not read it as a sentence.
