What 𗀑 means
It means “to cover,” “to shelter,” “to hide,” or “to conceal.”
Tangut writing was created by imperial decree around 1036 for the Western Xia state’s official and cultural work. Its texts include government records and Buddhist translations; the script remained in use from 1036 to 1502. Those dates mark the writing system’s history, not the first time 𗀑 appears in a surviving text.
Tangut is a separate script for the Tangut language, influenced by Chinese writing but not interchangeable with it. If 𗀑 appears as a blank box, the active font may lack Tangut glyphs; the missing shape is a display problem.
A historical character from the written culture of the Western Xia state.
Chinese writing influenced Tangut, but 𗀑 belongs to a separate script and is not a Chinese character.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗀑 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
