What 𗃰 means
The Tangut reading is “sea,” and its word bears a loanword label.
“Loanword” means the vocabulary came into Tangut from another language; it does not make this a Chinese character.
Western Xia promulgated Tangut script in 1036 for its language and government; Buddhist texts also used it. It drew on Chinese writing’s form but remained separate. Texts survive from the late 12th century; after 1227, Tangut appears in Yuan and Ming records before fading by the Ming’s end.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗃰 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
