What 𗅮 means
As of 2026, the written record gives readings, not an English translation.
The earliest cited records are the 12th-century Wénhǎi (“Sea of Writing”) and Tóngyīn (“Homophones”), Tangut lexicons.
Tangut writing was established in the 1030s for Western Xia government, Buddhist translation, law, and literature. After 1227, it continued in scholarly use.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗅮 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
