What 𗆴 means
It means “daytime” in Tangut.
Li Fanwen’s entry 3476 glosses it with Chinese 晝 and transcribes its reconstructed reading as la in Latin letters.
Is 𗆴 Chinese or Tangut?
It is Tangut; 晝 is a Chinese gloss.
The Tangut script was promulgated in 1036 for writing the Tangut language of Western Xia. Modeled on Chinese writing, it was used for Buddhist scriptures and Chinese classics.
Tangut writing continued after Western Xia fell. The latest datable material is the Baoding dhāraṇī pillars—stone columns bearing Buddhist formulas—erected in 1502.
Historical and specialist. Will 𗆴 display in my font? Only if that font includes Tangut characters.
Its Chinese-like shape does not make it a Chinese character.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗆴 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
