What 𗈯 means
It means “butterfly” in Tangut.
Created in 1036 under imperial direction for the Tangut language, the script served the Western Xia state. It continued into the early Ming after the state fell, appearing in legal, literary, and Buddhist works.
Tangut strokes may look familiar from Chinese characters.
That resemblance does not make the text Chinese.
