What does 𗌂 mean in Tangut writing?
It is a Tangut transliteration character.
In Li Fanwen's Tangut–Chinese dictionary, a reference work matching Tangut characters with Chinese glosses, entry 6024 is labeled “a transliteration”—a written form that records sounds across languages. 𗌂 can therefore represent a borrowed name or sound in Tangut writing; it does not translate to one fixed English word.
The Tangut script was created in 1036 under Western Xia rule for state writing, including a Buddhist canon, and helped express a political identity distinct from Song China. The oldest Tangut document known through later copies dates to 1072; surviving texts include Buddhist works, Chinese translations, legal material, and literature. Tangut writing drew on Chinese ways of making characters but remained a separate script for the Tangut language; Khitan was another script in the region.

Questions people ask
2Is 𗌂 an emoji?
No. Unicode 9.0 encodes 𗌂 as a Tangut text character, not as an emoji.
Why does 𗌂 show as a box?
The active font lacks Tangut coverage. A box is a font fallback; the text still contains 𗌂. Tangut-capable fonts may draw the same character with slightly different shapes.
