What 𗎾 means
In one Tangut phrase, it means “comet.”
A Kharakhoto painting from the 13th–14th century labels Yuebo with 𗼑𗎾𗵫 as “moon, comet, star.” 𗎾 occupies the middle.
The Tangut script emerged in the 11th century for Western Xia’s official and cultural life and appears in Buddhist texts and monuments. Dhāraṇī pillars—stone monuments bearing Buddhist sacred texts—from 1502 are among the latest dated Tangut remains.
Font rendering can change 𗎾’s shape; it is Tangut text.
Its “comet” reading belongs to that phrase; it is not a general comet sign.

1Questions people ask
1Why does 𗎾 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
