What 𗐨 means
Its Chinese gloss is 澤: “marsh” or “grace.”
The Tangut ruler Li Yuanhao of Western Xia commissioned the script in 1036 for government and Buddhist texts. 𗐨 appears in the mid-12th-century Sea of Writing, a Tangut dictionary arranged by rhyme.
Tangut texts included Buddhist and Confucian works, plus military and literary translations; the script lasted into 1502. It drew on Chinese writing and the earlier script of the neighboring Khitan people; Tangut and Chinese were not mutually readable.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗐨 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.

𗐨\17428Why is 𗐨 a box on my screen?
fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
