What 𗒹 means
It is the ordinary Tangut numeral for seven. In date writing, a following Tangut sign can make it part of a month expression.
The Western Xia (Xixia) court commissioned the Tangut script to write the Tangut language. Its documented use ran from 1036–1502; those dates describe the script, not the first surviving appearance of 𗒹. Tangut numbers appear in manuscripts, printed books, dates, and stone inscriptions. The script drew on Chinese writing, but it records a different language.
If 𗒹 appears as a box, the selected font lacks a Tangut glyph. Unicode’s chart shape is a reference, not a required design; fonts with Tangut support may draw the character differently.

1Questions people ask
1Why does 𗒹 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
