What 𗔞 means
𗔞 is a character in Tangut, a separate historic writing system. The Tangut script was developed for the Western Xia (Xixia) state around 1036, modeled on Chinese writing and influenced by Khitan writing.
Western Xia used Tangut for government, private records, law, literature, and Buddhist texts. The script continued in religious, legal, and literary works after the state fell; the last known Tangut inscription dates to 1502.
Its square form reflects the script's history, but does not make it a Chinese character. The Unicode label is an identifier, not a translation: a Tangut dictionary or the surrounding passage is needed to tell what word this exact character represents.
Why does 𗔞 show as a blank box?
A blank box usually means your font or text system cannot render Tangut.
An empty square or replacement mark means the app's font or text system lacks Tangut support. Use software that handles supplementary-plane characters and a font with Tangut coverage; changing emoji settings will not help.
How do I type 𗔞?
A Unicode-aware editor or code escape is needed.
A regular keyboard usually has no Tangut key. Use a Unicode-aware editor's character insertion method with the scalar value U1751E.
Historical and scholarly; an isolated message is opaque unless the reader knows Tangut or is checking text display.

1Why does 𗔞 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
