What 𗖆 means
The label identifies the sign, not its Tangut word.
A Tangut dictionary or the surrounding passage gives its reading and meaning. Tangut was created for the language of Western Xia (Xixia), a state, around 1036 under its first emperor. It served official, private, and Buddhist texts, continued after the dynasty fell, and became obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
Tangut is distinct from Han writing. Similar strokes do not make 𗖆 a Chinese character or a substitute.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗖆 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
