What 𗗪 means
Commerce or trade. This is the Tangut dictionary gloss. Tangut writing was promoted around 1036 for the Western Xia, a medieval Tangut-speaking kingdom, and used in state, Buddhist and everyday texts. Inscriptions continued after the kingdom fell; the latest known is dated 1502.
Is 𗗪 Chinese?
No. It is Tangut. Tangut forms can resemble Chinese, but the scripts are distinct. The Unicode 16.0 Tangut chapter records variant glyph forms; fonts may show different shapes or a missing-glyph box without Tangut support.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗗪 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
