What 𗗱 means
It means “fox” in Tangut. The Sea of Writing, a 12th-century Tangut dictionary grouped by rhyme, records it.
The Tangut script was created around 1036 under Western Xia’s first emperor to write the Tangut language. It served government, Buddhist, legal, and literary texts, continued after Western Xia ended, and later became obsolete.
A font without Tangut coverage may show a missing-character box. That is a display fallback; the character still means “fox.”

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗗱 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
