What 𗘮 means
It means yellow in Tangut.
Tangut was the language of the Western Xia state. Emperor Li Yuanhao commissioned its script in 1036 for government and cultural work, including Buddhist texts and a distinct Tangut identity alongside Song-dynasty China. The neighboring Khitan people already had a state script, while Chinese characters supplied visual and structural models; Tangut remained its own writing system. A manuscript from Khara-khoto probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century. Tangut left daily use after the Mongol conquest in the 13th century.
Why does 𗘮 show as a box?
The font may not include Tangut characters. Without a Tangut-capable font, a browser or app may display a missing-glyph box. The box is a font problem; the character is still 𗘮.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗘮 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
