What 𗙔 means
Read 𗙔 in context; it has no fixed standalone translation.
Tangut writing was developed for the historical Western Xia state around 1036–1037. It carried official records, Buddhist translations, laws, and literature; the latest known Tangut inscription is dated 1502. Its design drew on Chinese writing and the writing used by the Khitan people. That script-level influence does not establish a direct link between 𗙔 and any particular Chinese or Khitan character.
Why does 𗙔 have different readings?
These are source-specific scholarly transcriptions, not competing translations.
A study of Tangut grammar gives the Latin-letter transcription xwã¹ in the personal name Xuan Gong; an index to Li Fanwen’s Tangut dictionary lists gjwi. The forms come from different references, so keep each with its source and surrounding Tangut phrase.
Specialist and archival; give it a Tangut text context when using it.

1Why does 𗙔 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
