What 𗙞 means
𗙞 is a Tangut character glossed “dragon.” Li Fanwen’s 2008 dictionary lists it as entry L2008-0203.
The script was created around 1036 under Western Xia’s first emperor to write the Tangut language. It appears in official, private, and Buddhist texts; use continued under the Yuan and Ming dynasties, then became obsolete by the end of Ming.
Tangut resembles Chinese ideographs, but the scripts are unrelated. A dictionary gloss does not settle every message’s meaning.
Historical writing; recognition depends on Tangut context.
