What 𗙟 means
It names noon in the Tangut script.
A historical Tangut dictionary glosses this character as “noon.”
The Tangut state of Western Xia commissioned its writing system in 1036 for government use and Buddhist scripture. Its structure was inspired by Chinese writing and followed precedents in the earlier Khitan script, another historical writing system. A manuscript from Khara-Khoto, dated to the 12th or early 13th century, shows the script’s later use in translations of Chinese and Tibetan works and in secular writing.
Historical and specialist; it belongs in discussion of Tangut writing and its texts.
A missing glyph for 𗙟 signals absent font support; it does not change the character’s reading.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗙟 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
