What 𗙪 means
Its gloss depends on the historical source.
The Unicode record links this form to Tangut dictionary entries translated as “to close,” “meat,” “railing,” and “able and virtuous.”
They are source-specific glosses, not interchangeable translations.
Why does 𗙪 look like Chinese?
It is Tangut, a separate script for the Tangut language.
The script was created around 1036 for state-building in Western Xia, a Tangut kingdom, and Buddhist translation. A surviving Tangut manuscript page from Khara-Khoto dates to the 12th or early 13th century.
Chinese and Khitan writing influenced Tangut. After Western Xia fell, Tangut writing continued for centuries.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗙪 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
