What 𗛚 means
The dictionary gloss is “boat.”
A Tangut–Chinese dictionary glosses this word as “boat.” Scholars reconstruct its historical reading as dzjịj²; this is specialist notation, not an English spelling to sound out.
A dictionary gloss names a word, while the surrounding Tangut text shows how it works in a sentence.
Why does Tangut look like Chinese writing?
Tangut used Chinese-character-shaped signs to write a different language.
The script was created for Tangut, the now-extinct language of the Western Xia kingdom. Western Xia established it around 1036. Its signs follow a Chinese-character-shaped writing tradition, which explains their appearance without making Tangut words Chinese.
The earliest transmitted Tangut document is an official dispatch dated 1072 to a military inspector in Guazhou. Writing continued after Western Xia fell, through the Yuan and Ming dynasties; by the end of the Ming, the script was obsolete.
Historical and scholarly; interpret its dictionary gloss within a Tangut text.
“Boat” is a dictionary gloss, not a complete translation of a sentence.

1Why does 𗛚 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
