What 𗜛 means
It means “cork” in Tangut.
Cork is the bark material used to seal bottles. The Tangut script was created in the 11th century under the first Western Xia emperor for official, cultural, and religious writing. It continued in texts from the later Yuan and Ming dynasties after Western Xia fell, then became obsolete.
Clauson’s Tangut dictionary draft, completed in 1939, lists this as entry 849; Li Fanwen’s English index places dictionary entry 4285 under “cork.”

1Why does 𗜛 show as a box?
It is a font-coverage problem: the receiving app may lack a Tangut-capable font. In 2026, some mobile apps still failed to render Tangut text; try Noto Serif Tangut or Tangut Yinchuan.
